Kentucky Writers on the Road Kicks off with Two June Stops

First stop will be the Kentucky Book Festival: Louisville Edition at Paristown on Saturday, June 14th. The event, sponsored by the Kentucky Humanities Council, Carmichael’s Bookstore, and the James Baker Hall Foundation will see the Louisville edition of the famed Kentucky Book Festival that is held in November in Lexington. 2024 Book Award winner Wesley Houp will be doing a reading as well as signing books.

Stop two for Wesley and the foundation will be the Ironwood Writers Studio at the Hindman Settlement School on June 26th. Ironwood is one of the foundation’s original grantees and Wesley will be reading and spending time with the 20 high school students in the week-long writing workshop.

We are excited to be taking the foundation on the road around our great Commonwealth and look forward to making new friends down the road.
